History

In 2009 Federal Airlines acquired Pelican Air Services and took over their route to Mozambique. In October 2009 Federal Air extended its route network and now offers scheduled, shuttle and charter services within Zimbabwe, based in Harare. In addition, Federal Air offers a scheduled service from Harare to Kariba, and a lodge hopping service in the Lower Zambezi and Greater Kariba area. Lake Kariba is a popular destination offering visitors everything from top-notch conference facilities to game viewing and excellent fishing. For flights required outside of the schedule, additional flights will also be available on a charter basis and for group bookings. Federal Air also operates in Tanzania and Kenya as Tanganyika Flying Company, with a daily scheduled service and charter business covering all the premier safari destinations in the region.
