Airline passengers are now insured against airline insolvency

From January 01st, 2010 travel agents can issue insolvency-safe tickets for over 200 Hahn Air partner airlines on Hahn Air e-tickets (HR-169).

For this purpose Hahn Air has concluded an insurance agreement with Generali Versicherung AG, through its underwriting agent "REISEGARANT" GmbH in Hamburg.

In the event that a flight issued on the HR-169 e-ticket is cancelled because of the insolvency of the respective operating airline, Hahn Air vouches for a full refund of the unused part of the ticket (including taxes).

Travel agents can be assured that their clients' payments are safe as long as the tickets have been issued on a HR-169 e-document.

You can print out an insurance confirmation for each ticket directly from the website - for your own files and to hand to your clients. You may also forward the PDF confirmation directly to the passenger via e-mail. To simplify this process, we have implemented an additional registration service, that - beyond other advantages - enables you to benefit from prefilled forms. Consequently, each time you request a confirmation, only the respective HR-169 ticket number needs to be filled in. This service is quick and easy and no additional costs apply for either the travel agent or the airline passenger.
