Hahn Air Line’s Britta Carrera y Sondermann, First Officer & Manager Development and Planning, has been appointed Vice-Chair for the Hazard Identification Technical Group (HITG), one of IATA’s Safety Group subgroups.
Hahn Air supports the improvement of gender balance in the aviation industry by signing IATA’s industry-wide 25by2025 campaign. With 39% of its leadership positions occupied by women, the German airline and distribution specialist already surpasses the desired 25% gender ratio of the initiative.
Hahn Air, market leader in airline distribution, is the first airline that issued a real-world ticket enabled by blockchain technology on the open-source travel distribution platform Winding Tree. It is also the first airline to fly passengers holding blockchain-powered tickets on its scheduled flight from Dusseldorf to Luxemburg on November 18th, 2019.
Ruili Airlines, introduced as the next H1-Air partner, is now distributed under the H1 code in all major GDSs worldwide. The first Chinese airline to sign an agreement with Hahn Air Systems’ this year, Ruili Airlines can be booked by over 100,000 travel agencies in 190 markets and issued on the insolvency-safe HR-169 ticket now. The standard GDS reservation and ticketing process applies.
