Jörg Troester, Head of Corporate Strategy, Industry and Government Affairs at Hahn Air, recently participated in the seventh Technology and Innovation in Airline Distribution Conference held at the AVANI Riverside Bangkok Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
The annual event started on Tuesday 16th, 2017, with a pre-conference Masterclass for airlines. The following two days were filled with speeches and sessions that covered issues, including service personalisation, changes to distribution models and cross-industry collaboration. Joining a panel of four other aviation professionals on day one, Jörg Troester discussed the importance of an effective personalisation plan for the merchandising strategy.
“One of the predominant topics of the conference was of course NDC”, comments Jörg Troester. “The new communication standard will make a huge difference to the way we market and sell air travel in the future, especially when it comes to personalised offers for the customers. It is crucial that airlines already factor in these new opportunities when it comes to strategic planning of sales, marketing, pricing, packaging, and so on.”
