Hahn Air represented at Flightglobal conference on Airline Distribution 2015

8 May 2015

Jörg Troester, Head of Strategy at Hahn Air, was a panellist at the conference “Technology and Innovation in Airline Distribution and Merchandising 2015” held in London this week. The aim of the event organised by Flightglobal was to identify the key challenges in airline distribution and to contribute to the ongoing debate with key note speeches and panels. Leading experts presented their thoughts and provided insights from airlines, travel agents and suppliers on the future of the industry.

Troester represented Hahn Air in the panel “Payment Initiatives: Redefining Payment Methods” and joined an animated discussion with co-panellist Thierry Stucker, Head of Industry Financial Programs at IATA.

"Selling ancillary services and third party products is for airlines definitely a revenue source with massive potential for the future”, says Troester. He adds: "Developing new standards such as New Distribution Capability (NDC) will make all distribution and reservation channels fit for selling ancillary services. However, airlines need to ensure that they have reliable solutions in place to secure the revenue stream. Hahn Air, the ticketing specialist, offers solutions to sell ancillary services and interline tickets worldwide and to benefit from additional revenue."
