Every year, on
September 16th (or in day-month-format, 16.9.) Hahn Air celebrates Hahn Air
Day. The date was carefully chosen by the airline and ticketing specialist as it
mirrors the numbers of the HR-169 Hahn Air ticket. On Hahn Air Day, the company
takes the opportunity to show its appreciation and gratefulness to its travel
agent partners around the world.
Hahn Air just
recently announced the start of a series of environment-focused initiatives,
including a partnership with veritree. Therefore, this year’s Hahn Air Day is
all about sustainability and Hahn Air is planning several green celebration
activities.
As
of 16th September, all travel agents can take part in an online competition on www.hahnair.com. Participants have to count the number of plants
in a hidden-objects-game featuring the popular Hahn Air mascot, Martin the
smart travel agent. Among all players submitting the
correct number, Hahn Air will pick 10 winners. The first winner will receive a
Samsonite eco suitcase made of sustainable materials. For winners two through ten,
Hahn Air will plant 50 mangrove trees each in its “We-love-our-partners” forest
by veritree.
veritree is a technology
platform enabling and tracking global restoration projects. Through a recently
formed partnership, Hahn Air committed to restoring coastal mangrove forests in
Kenya and Madagascar by planting 150,000 trees.
“We created Hahn Air Day three years ago to say thank you to our travel agent
community”, says Kimberley Long, Vice President Agency Distribution at Hahn
Air. “Our international team based on four continents, is supporting travel
agencies worldwide with training, marketing activities and advice. On Hahn Air
Day, they will treat selected agencies with lunches and other special
activities. This year, all activities will have a focus on sustainability, and
we are excited to share details and pictures in our social media channels on
Hahn Air Day and beyond.”
