The Aircraft at Burghof recently won "Best Newcomer Location" in the coveted Location Award 2016. The event hosted in Berlin on October 17th attracted over 500 invited guests and representatives of the event industry which saw Sascha Schnobrich, responsible for The Aircraft at Burghof, taking home the award.
In an online election, The Aircraft at Burghof had initially qualified as one of three finalists from approximately 40 applicants. An expert jury of 10 members finally gave the venue the advantage over Grand Hall Zollverein, Essen, and Spreespeicher, Berlin. The panel was particularly impressed by the unique aircraft design and the sophisticated technical equipment. "This location lets any kind of event fly!", said Nadja Kahn, Managing Partner of KahnEvents, in her speech.
The Aircraft at Burghof is located directly at the pond of the historic Hayn Castle in Dreieichenhain, near Frankfurt am Main. The owner is Hahn Air, based in Dreieich. "We have developed a new concept for The Aircraft this year", explains Sascha Schnobrich. "The central element of the new concept is the collaboration with event professionals such as TASTE OF NOW for the event conception and implementation and Thiele & Partner Solutions for the field of technology."
The state-of-the-art building is suitable for events of all kinds and offers cutting edge technology - from the lighting concept, to the sound system boasting 15,000 watts, to the large LED backdrop screen. The location owes its unique experience to its aircraft design. Original aircraft parts such as turbines, propellers, aircraft seats and window rows combined with elaborate lighting give guests the impression of being on board a luxury jet. For events, the main room, namely "The Cabin", as well as the "Captains Lounge" bar and the roof terrace "Wings" can be hired.
