Hahn Air introduced Braathens Regional Services AB (TF) as the next airline to take advantage of HR-EMDs. As a result, travel agents worldwide can now customise passengers’ experience by booking additional services of the Swedish regional airline in Amadeus GDS and issue them on the HR-EMD.
Since 2016 when Hahn Air introduced interline EMDs, airlines including Adria Airways (JP) and Luxair (LG) have taken the opportunity to gain incremental revenue from sales of ancillary services in 190 markets. Thanks to HR-EMDs, seat reservations, additional luggage, special meals and such amenities can be conveniently issued by 95,000 travel agents using the standard GDS ticketing process. HR-EMD is a growing service with more airline partners coming on board in 2017.
