Hahn Air joins IATA’s PADIS Board

30 May 2017

Hahn Air has become one of 14 airline members of the IATA Passenger and Airport Data Interchange Standards (PADIS) Board. Its main purpose is to develop and maintain Electronic Data Interchange and XML message standards for passenger travel and airport-related passenger service activities.

Together with some of the industry’s most experienced airlines, such as American Airlines, British Airways, KL Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa, Qantas, Swiss and United Airlines, Hahn Air will oversee the final approval of all IATA passenger, distribution and airports messaging standards. This means not only checking the accuracy of new messaging standards but also making sure that they do not collide with the existing technical standards.

“With the industry’s massive proliferation, it is important to not only keep track of current messaging standards but also to address challenges and foresee future trends”, commented Hahn Air’s Jörg Troester, Head of Corporate Strategy, Industry and Government Affairs. “We are honored to work with the PADIS Board members to address these topics as we chart the messaging standard’s future.”
