Hahn Air welcomes the Dominican airline Arajet
in its leading partner portfolio. Hahn Air’s solutions enable Arajet to sell its flights in 190 markets,
including countries outside of its route network. Now, travel agents can book Arajet
flights under the X1 code via the standard reservation
process and issue tickets on the insolvency-safe HR-169 document.
Founded in 2021, Arajet (DM) is a
low-cost airline based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It offers direct
service between its base (SDQ) and several cities in North, Central and South America
and the Caribbean. Its route network includes 17 destinations in eleven
countries and 42 connections among nine countries of its network. Arajet
operates with a fleet of five Boeing 737-8 aircraft and expects to double the
number by the end of 2023.
“We are glad to be part of Hahn Air. Now
travel agents worldwide can take advantage of our unique value offer that
includes our strategic connecting hub in Santo Domingo, the lowest fares and
great Dominican service aboard our new Boeing 737MAX8 aircraft”, said Nacim Yala, Chief
Strategy and Business Development Officer of Arajet.
With its
ticketing and distribution solutions, the German airline Hahn Air facilitates
global business between travel agencies and airlines. Its global connectivity
with all major Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and almost all billing and
settlement plans (BSPs) enable more than 100,000 travel agents worldwide to issue flights of Hahn Air partner airlines on the HR-169 ticket.
“Our
indirect distribution services are the right fit for Arajet”, says Adriana C. Carrelli, Vice President Airline Business at Hahn Air. “Now Arajet can unlock secondary markets and generate
incremental revenue without any additional risk or complexity.”
Arajet recently announced that it has
expanded to 42 round-trip connections between nine countries served twice a week, thus
turning the Dominican Republic into the low-cost hub of the Caribbean. The
airline’s future plans include new routes to South America’s Brazil, Argentina,
Bolivia, Chile, and Uruguay.
