The European Regional Airlines Association (ERA) Board met today for its first board meeting of 2018 at Hahn Air’s head office in Dreieich, Germany. Over 25 members of the Board met to discuss the outlook of the European Regional aviation landscape.
Jörg Troester, Hahn Air’s Head of Corporate Strategy, Industry and Government Affairs and ERA Board member kicked off the meeting with some welcome remarks. He mentioned “It is Hahn Air’s honour to host the first ERA Board meeting of 2018 and my personal pleasure to have you all here at Hahn Air’s head office in Dreieich.”
The focus of the first board meeting of 2018, led by the association’s new President Andrew Kelly and with the new ERA Director General Montserrat Barriga in attendance, was to tackle pertinent issues such as EU261, Brexit, GDPR which comes into force in May and the CORSIA implementation – airlines have to submit plans on monitoring their emissions later this year.
ERA is a trade association representing the European aviation industry. Membership includes 50 airlines and 141 associate and affiliate members who jointly cover the entire spectrum of the aviation sector - airlines, airports, manufacturers and suppliers. Hahn Air has been a member since 2015 and Jörg Troester is now serving as a Board member for a second term.
The next board meeting will take place in Vienna on 17 April, ahead of the association’s annual Regional Airline Conference on 18–19 April.
