As of 1st June 2019, Hahn Air’s Phil
Collings will add Finland and Sweden to his portfolio of Scandinavian markets.
As the new account manager for these countries, he will assist travel agents on
how to use Hahn Air’s ticketing solutions to increase their sales. In addition,
he will provide support with training, presentations, targeted sales and
marketing activities. Part of his responsibility will also lie in developing strategic
alliances with the local trade.
Phil Collings takes over from Gerhard Pilop who is
retiring after 40 years of serving in the industry. "We thank Gerhard
Pilop for his tireless commitment", said Kimberley Long, Vice President of
Sales and Agency Distribution at Hahn Air. "Over the last seven years, he
has been the face of Hahn Air in Finland and Sweden and has significantly
shaped our profile there. Thanks to his dedication, we have been able to
significantly increase Hahn Air’s brand awareness and the usage of our
solutions. At the same time, we wish Phil Collings a successful start in his
new role. We are confident that as an industry professional who has managed
travel-agent accounts in Denmark, Ireland, Norway, the Netherlands and the UK, he
will be able to use his expertise to further develop the two additional markets."
Collings added: “Finland and Sweden complement the
Scandinavian markets I have been working with for the last several years. Hahn
Air has gone to great lengths to ensure travel agents there have the support
they need, and I will continue to be active spreading awareness of Hahn Air and
its ticketing services through presentations and trainings across the two countries.”
With 20 years of experience in the tourism
industry, Phil is an expert in revenue management, pricing and account
management. He held various positions with different airlines and two of the
world’s largest travel companies. Most recently, he was Head of Air at eDreams
ODIGEO. Previous companies include NQT Consulting, Eastern Airways, GB Airways,
bmi and Thomas Cook.
Hahn Air is the market leader in ticketing
solutions worldwide. It provides 100,000 travel agencies in 190 markets with
access to the transport services of more than 350 flight, rail and shuttle
partners via the HR-169 ticket. This year, the company celebrates the 20th
anniversary of its ticketing business.
