Hahn Air welcomes FitsAir in its leading partner portfolio. Flights of the Sri Lankan carrier are available in major GDSs under the Hahn Air Technologies X1 code. Travel agents in 190 markets worldwide can book FitsAir via the standard reservation process and issue tickets on the insolvency-safe HR-169 document.
FitsAir (8D) commenced operations in 1997 with a leased cargo aircraft flying from Sri Lanka to the Maldives Islands. In 2000, the expansion of its fleet brought FitsAir’s cargo operations to neighbouring India, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. In June 2002, FitsAir introduced daily scheduled domestic passenger flights with a leased twin-aisled aircraft, flying from Colombo Airport Ratmalana to Palaly Airport, Jaffna. In 2003, FitsAir invested in three 50-seater aircraft and increased the frequency of flights to Jaffna to meet demand. Now, the carrier serves four destinations in four countries, including the domestic airport in Colombo (CMB), Dubai (DXB) in the UAE, Madras (MAA) in India and Male (MLE) in the Maldives. More destinations are to be added this year.
