Dreieich 12 October 2015. Hahn Air, the scheduled German airline and leading provider of distribution services for air, rail and shuttle partners and ticketing expert for travel agents, announced the appointment of Gustavo Varallo Silva as the new director for Brazil for Global Account Management.
As of 1st October, Gustavo has taken over the responsibility of being the key contact for Hahn Air’s travel agency partners in Brazil and supporting them with sales and marketing activities. With 13 years of experience working in the tourism industry for Latin America, he will monitor, analyse and influence the market in order to increase Hahn Air’s market share and business for its travel agency partners while maintaining good relationships with the local trade and government organisations.
Gustavo holds a degree in Tourism Management from SENAC University of São Paulo and draws on seven years of experience in business development, account management and sales. Most recently, he was Territory Manager for Latin America at Verticalbooking. He has also worked as General Manager for Interpac Travel Turismo , and various other companies like Booking.com as Hotels Coordinator for South America and Hostelworld.com as Regional Manager for Brazil. He has gained in-depth experience in the corporate travel market during his tenure with American Express Travel Services and World Stream Turismo / Copastur.
Gustavo will be taking over responsibilities from Marta Parula, Hahn Air’s Director Global Account Management based in Uruguay who has been supporting Brazil over the last six years. Marta will continue to support Hahn Air in her respective South American markets including Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
To complete the Hahn Air team in Brazil, Marcos de Almeida Camilo, who has already been with Hahn Air for six years, will continue to focus on promotions and trainings as Manager Global Account Management for the market.
