Dreieich 15 October 2015. Hahn Air, the leading provider of airline distribution services and ticketing solutions welcomed Johan Pauwels as its new Regional Vice President for the Airline Business Group for Africa and France.
The Airline Business Group focuses on providing incremental revenue for Hahn Air’s over 300 air, rail and shuttle partners and the acquisition of new partner carriers. Johan’s principal role will include account management, sourcing of new airline clients, negotiation of agreements as well as analysis and identification of potential business and for Africa and France.
Johan has graduated with a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Brussels. He brings over 30 years of experience in developing and managing teams that support the airline industry, primarily related to cargo and passenger transport in Africa. His last position was Director Sales Europe at ECAir, the national airline of Congo, Brazzaville between 2012 and 2015. He joined Camair-Co (Cameroon) in January 2011, where he held various positions including Director Ground Operations, Director Cargo and Director In-flight product. During this time, he was also a member of the airline’s tender board. Prior to that, Johan worked for Arik Air (Nigeria); Denim Air (The Netherlands), Brussels Air/Sabena (Belgium) and Onur Air (Turkey).
