Caravelo has recently been accorded the highest level of New Distribution Capability (NDC) certification as an IT provider (Level 3) from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Caravelo, a partner of the venture capital firm HR Ventures (part of the Hahn Air Group), is a leading technology provider specialised in ancillary revenue solutions for travel companies, starting with airlines.
With this accreditation, Caravelo is recognised as being able to distribute its client’s services using Offer and Order management messages who are compliant with the standard NDC message schema. As a result, airlines using Caravelo’s services will have the option to distribute their prices and fares, including ancillary and fare family content, using this NDC Offers and Orders management messages.
Caravelo underwent an audit by IATA for the certification of its systems capabilities and is now amongst the 14 airline IT providers worldwide certified at this level including Amadeus, Navitaire, Farelogix, Hewlett Packard and Indra.
