The distribution and ticketing specialist, Hahn Air, celebrated the 20th
anniversary of its ticketing business with around 80 travel agents, tour
operators and distribution partners during a glamorous event in Paris yesterday.
At the 5-star Rooftop Grenelle, in the heart of Paris with a beautiful view of
the Eiffel Tower, Hahn Air invited the guests to enjoy cocktails in Hahn
Air’s signature colour blue, dance to
the music of a DJ and to pose with various props at the fun photo booth. Hahn Air was represented by Kirsten Rehmann,
General Director, Kimberley Long, Vice President of Sales and Agency
Distribution, Dennis Huk, Vice
President Global Account Management, as
well as the regional Director of Global Account Management, Christelle Boutec.
Since 1999, Hahn Air has
been providing distribution solutions to airline and ticketing services to
travel agents and quickly advanced to become the market leader. Thanks to a unique
business model and an unparalleled network and technology know-how, the company
has been able to adapt to changes in the industry and has recently once again
demonstrated its commitment to innovation by issuing the very first airline ticket
through blockchain technology.
Hahn Air’s General Director, Kirsten Rehmann,
said: “Our ticketing
business has certainly come a long way. In 1999 we saw a business opportunity:
many airlines were eager to sell tickets outside of their key markets through
travel agencies but could not shoulder the costs of participating in the
settlement systems that exist in almost every market, so-called BSPs. Over the
years, Hahn Air joined almost all BSPs and established connections with all
major GDSs that are used by travel agents to book and issue tickets. This
infrastructure enables other airlines to sell their flights on Hahn Air’s
HR-169 ticket.”
With many activities and seven anniversary
events around the world held throughout the year, Hahn Air thanked all its
partners for their trust and cooperation. “The French market has always been
among our top 10 markets”, commented Christelle Boutec. “It was the natural
choice to hold one of our celebrations in Paris to celebrate with our partners
here. A big thank you to all travel agents, GDS partners, OTAs, tour operators
and consolidators who trust in our solutions. It’s been many years of fruitful
cooperation and we look forward to the next 20 years. We will never tire of
expanding our network of airline partners and our portfolio of services.”
